What StopSpot is
StopSpot is a parking convenience aid. A phone mounted in your garage estimates how far your car’s licence plate is from a stop point you set and shows a green, yellow or red screen. It is not a safety device: it does not see people, animals, objects or other vehicles, it does not brake or steer, and it does not prevent collisions.
Your responsibility
You stay in control of the car and responsible for driving and parking safely, for watching your surroundings and for following the law. The shown distance and colour can be wrong, for example when the wrong plate size is selected, the phone has moved since the stop point was set, the plate is dirty or unlit, or the light is poor. Treat the screen as a hint, not as a measurement you rely on. Keep the phone mount secure.
Licence
HighApps Mobile grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, under the terms of the store you got it from (on iPhone, Apple’s standard licence agreement applies in addition). You may not copy, modify, sell or reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it. Third-party components are listed under Open-source licences in Settings.
No warranty
The app is provided as is, free of charge. To the extent the law allows, HighApps Mobile gives no warranty that it is accurate, uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and may change or withdraw it at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, HighApps Mobile is not liable for damage to vehicles, garages or other property, for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss that comes from relying on the app’s colours or distances. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer.
Privacy
How the app handles data is described in the Privacy policy (Settings > Privacy policy, and highapps.am/stopspot/privacy_policy.html). Camera images never leave the phone.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. The effective date above and the copy at highapps.am/stopspot/terms.html change when we do. Using the app after a change means you accept the changed terms; if you do not, stop using the app and uninstall it.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia, except where the consumer law of the country you live in gives you protection that cannot be taken away by agreement. Questions: highapps2019@gmail.com.
