Drag the paddle
Slide left or right to keep the ball in play. There are no extra buttons in a round — the paddle follows your finger.
By Highapps · Android
Classic BrickBreaker is a free Android arcade game. Drag the paddle, knock out a randomly built wall, and chain a score multiplier that rewards clean hits. No account. High score stays on the phone.
How it works
Each round builds an 8-by-10 wall with a mix of ordinary and special bricks. Difficulty changes lives, ball speed, scoring, and how often those specials appear.
Slide left or right to keep the ball in play. There are no extra buttons in a round — the paddle follows your finger.
Ordinary bricks take one hit. Hard bricks take two. Explosive bricks take the neighbors with them. Movable bricks slide while you play.
Each brick you break doubles the multiplier, up to the cap for that difficulty. Hitting the paddle halves it. Losing a life resets it.
Brick types
The wall is random. Harder difficulties put more gray and yellow bricks in the mix and fewer easy explosives.
Blue. One hit. The bulk of every wall.
Gray. Needs two hits before it breaks.
Red. Breaks the bricks around it when it goes.
Yellow. Keeps sliding from one side to the other.
What’s in the app
Play runs on the device. Internet is used for ads, crash reports, analytics, and this page.
Easy, Normal, and Hard change lives, ball speed, hit score, multiplier cap, and special-brick odds. Default is Normal.
Brick hits double it (up to 4 / 8 / 16). A paddle hit halves it. A lost life resets it to 1.
The best run is saved in app storage. Reset it from the home screen. Nothing is uploaded to Highapps.
Paddle, wall, brick, explosion, and a fanfare on a new high score. Toggle them off on the home screen.
The overflow menu shares a Play Store link, opens rate, or the HighApps developer page.
A banner on the home screen, plus interstitial and rewarded ads from AdMob after consent where Google requires it.
Be straight about it
Classic BrickBreaker is Highapps’ own take on the paddle-and-wall loop. It is Android-only, OpenGL, and built around random walls rather than a fixed campaign.
The download is free and supported by ads. There are no in-app purchases and no account. “Can’t die” exists as a practice mode with no score — Easy, Normal, and Hard are the real game.
